Online Peer Community

Connection that comes to you — join from home, with your camera off if you prefer.

What this service offers

For some people, getting to a group in person is not possible — because of fatigue, pain, anxiety or a weakened immune system. Online peer spaces remove that barrier.

Online spaces are moderated, and the same principles apply as in our in-person groups: respect, confidentiality, no medical advice, and no pressure to share.

Who it’s for

  • People who find it hard to leave the house
  • People who want to stay connected between in-person sessions
  • People who prefer to read and listen before joining in

What you can expect

  • Clear community rules shared before you join
  • First names or a chosen name are fine
  • Moderators who step in if rules are broken
  • No obligation to post — reading is taking part too

What support may include

Shaped around what you need

Every person is different, so support is tailored. Depending on your goals, it may include:

  • Online group sessions by video
  • Peer discussion spaces
  • Sharing small wins and difficult days

What this service doesn’t provide

Being clear about our limits helps you get the right help. This service does not offer:

  • Medical advice
  • Crisis support — online spaces are not monitored around the clock

Questions about online community

Is the online community monitored all the time?

No. It is moderated, but it is not a crisis service. If you need urgent help, please use the contacts on our urgent help page.
