Our commitment

This website has been designed and built to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. We also design for cognitive accessibility: short sections, plain language, predictable navigation and short forms.

What we have done

  • Large, readable text with strong colour contrast, using a typeface designed for legibility
  • Full keyboard access with a clearly visible focus indicator, and a “skip to main content” link
  • Clear headings and page landmarks for screen reader users
  • Forms with visible labels, simple error messages and a summary of any problems
  • Large tap targets on mobile
  • No autoplaying media, no flashing content, and animation reduced when your device asks for reduced motion
  • Pages that work when zoomed to 400% and on small screens

Known limitations

  • Some photography is illustrative and does not depict actual service users or named members of staff.
  • Websites we link to, such as NHS and GOV.UK pages, have their own accessibility statements.

How we tested

This website was tested with automated accessibility tools, keyboard-only navigation and at a range of screen sizes from 320 pixels wide.
